How do Digital Versions work?
HistoricalWorks.com
publications are delivered on CD media (or DVD when
specified). Books and publications are presented in
Adobe Acrobat's Portable Document Reader (PDF) format, the
universal standard for digital publications. Adobe
Acrobat Reader is included at no charge on each CD (or DVD)
for your convenience. Each publication includes individual
instructions.
Can I print out a complete hard copy of the book(s)?
Yes, you can print an exact copy of
the digital version.
Can I zoom in on illustrations?
Yes, and illustrations are "to
scale" so the integrity of the image isn't compromised as it is
enlarged.
Can I extract text and / or images from the digital files?
No, HistoricalWorks.com digital
publications are encrypted to prevent extraction.
Can I copy the files?
Yes, you may copy the file(s) from
the CD (or DVD) to your hard drive. Additional copies are
not allowed. These
digital publications are copyright protected. Unauthorized
duplications, in part or in full, are prohibited.
When can I expect my item?
Your item will be shipped via USPS
Priority Mail, usually within 2 business days.
Are
HistoricalWorks.com products compatible with Mac or Linux
systems?
Yes, our digital publications are
presented in Adobe Acrobat's Pordable Document Reader Format
(PDF) which ensures compatibility provided you have the reader
installed. The Windows version of the Acrobat Reader is
included on each CD. Other versions of Acrobat are
available free from
Adobe.

Will you digitize a book for me or my organization?
We will consider digitizing a book
or publication free for you or your organization, provided you
do not plan to offer it commercially. We will return your
original book to you and also include a digital version for you
or your organization free of charge. We reserve the right
to offer the digital version for sale.
